Since then, NIH has dropped $1.7M of taxpayers' money on NEW experiments involving cats. $486K to remove portions of the skulls of sixty kittens, inject viruses into their brains, paralyse them, and induce strokes. $439K for “mutant kittens” bred with glaucoma to have viruses injected into their eyes. Trump’s NIH leaders claim they’re “legally constrained" from cancelling experiments that are already underway. They’re wrong. Since July, they have spent $572K of taxpayer dollars to EXTEND experiments whose funding would have run out. @DrJBhattacharya is aware of this, but has publicly denied funding these projects. But we have the receipts. Because NIH won't take action, we're working with @repdinatitus & @RepNancyMace to pass the bipartisan PAAW Act to defund these experiments once and for all. Their WCW-backed bill would prohibit the NIH from funding research that causes “significant pain or distress” to dogs and cats. If rogue NIH leaders won't act, then RFK, Trump, and Congress must step in and stop Dr. Jay Bhattacharya and Dr. Nicole Kleinstreuer from wasting taxpayer dollars on these unnecessary and harmful experiments.
